Working boat fire at Piney Point Public Landing

With our area experiencing high heat across the region, your Second District fire and EMS volunteers were dispatched for the report of a boat fire at the Piney Point Public Landing at 1720 Sunday evening, 14 August.

Mass Casualty Incident in Chaptico

At 2125 hours, the assignment was alerted for a motor vehicle accident, involving an occupied school bus, at the intersection of Budds Creek Road and Mechanicsville Road. This brought Rescue Squad 2, Rescue Squad 5, EMS Stations 29, 59, 19 and SMALS on the initial dispatch.

At 1653 hours, Stations 5, 1, 2, and EMS Station 59 were alerted to a reported house fire on Crestview Drive in Longview Beach. Chief 5 advised a large column of smoke could be seen and the assignment was upgraded.

At 1518 hours Station 9(California), Station 3(Lexington Park), Station 6(Valley Lee), and Water Supply 5(Seventh District) were dispatched to the rear of 21698 Tammie Drive in California for the Working Barn Fire.
