At 1653 hours, Stations 5, 1, 2, and EMS Station 59 were alerted to a reported house fire on Crestview Drive in Longview Beach. Chief 5 advised a large column of smoke could be seen and the assignment was upgraded.
Chief 5 arrived on the scene and located a single story house with fire showing from sides C and D and established the "Crestview Drive Command." Engine 21 (Capt. Emmart) arrived and advised to pull an additional line from Engine 51. Firefighters made a good knock on the fire and mopped up hot spots while awaiting for the power to be secured.
Engine 21 operated on the scene for approximately forty-five minutes while Tanker 2 was held a little longer while overhaul was completed.
